Michael Plekon is a longtime friend and colleague and his new book, <a href="http://undpress.nd.edu/book/P01303">Hidden Holiness</a> published by The University of Notre Dame Press is his recent offering. We usually refer to sacred holy men and women who have been officially canonized and recognized in the Church as saints. However Plekon challenges this misunderstanding by showing us that throughout the centuries there have been men and women (inside and even outside the boundaries of the Church) who have been considered holy. This book will certainly challenge readers to think outside the box when it comes to holiness and sanctity.
